PREVENTIVE SCREENING

Osteopathy makes an important contribution to the treatment of symptoms and symptoms that are already present. In addition, the prevention of complaints and injuries occupies an increasingly important important place. I therefore regularly screen both the body posture and mobility to reduce the likelihood of complaints or injuries developing or that previous complaints will resurface.

POSTURE ANALYSIS

A poor sitting position or work attitude can contribute to the onset of injuries or complaints. A good posture in sit or position ensures that gravity and ground reaction force are distributed symmetrically and evenly over the left and right or the front and rear body side. Through the DIERS 3D body scan we can perform an objective measurement of the position of your back, spine and position of the pelvis.

FOOT ANALYSIS

The foot forms the basis of all movement and is particularly complex. It is therefore not illogical that every problem and loss of movement in the foot can cause compensation and pain in the foot itself, but also in the rest of the body. Therefore, I support the manual osteopathic research supported with some static and dynamic testing using the 3D foot pressure measuring plate.

MOVEMENT ANALYSIS

The conditions for an optimal and healthy functioning body are very varied. For example, a body needs good blood flow, a good proprioception and body awareness, a correct control of musculature and optimal mobility of the joints. The screening and investigation of these cases is therefore the core business of osteopathic research.

01

  • HISTORY
  • An extensive interview in which all information about your complaint and your medical history is collected. If you have had previous tests, be sure to bring the results with you.

02

  • PROVOCATION TESTS
  • A number of manual examinations to find the pain provoking structure. Sometimes we find reasons to first send you to the doctor for medical imaging, blood analysis or other examinations.

03

  • POSTURE ANALYSIS
  • Via the DIERS bodyscan we do an objective and radiation-free measurement of the position of your back, the spine and the position of your pelvis. This measurement is supplemented and compared with the measurements we make using the 3D foot pressure plate.

04

  • MOVEMENT ANALYSIS
  • First of all we measure the mobility of the vertebral column, supplemented by testing the mobility of other joints, muscles,... Also stability tests, a gait analysis or other tests may be necessary here.

05

  • TREATMENT
  • Using manual techniques, we can stimulate blood flow, improve movement or support compensation mechanisms. Techniques include manipulations, mobilizations, stretchings, frictions, muscle strengthening,...
